Incorporating Systems Mindsets and Practices to Advance Equity

  • February 15, 2017
  • 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  • 436 - 14th Street, 7th Floor; Oakland, CA

The scope and scale of the change required to address social injustices are vast. Grantmakers experience the tension and urgency to support change at a social, cultural, systemic level. This workshop will explore some of the key aspects of systems grantmaking, a practice that draws on systems change theory and application to increase the impact of grantmaking. In this session, Aja Duncan of Management Assistance Group will introduce you to the systems mindsets that are essential to advancing systems change and the associated practices and tools to support them. We will also hear from Katherine Zavala, Regional Director for Latin America at Thousand Currents (formerly IDEX) about how she and her organization uses a systems approach to support transformative change in the global south and around the world.

Light refreshments will be served. Please RSVP by clicking here by February 8, 2017.
